Beginning a tradition of excellence

The American Solar Challenge is a competition to design, build, and drive solar-powered cars in a cross-country rally event. The event has had over two decades of organized events in North America. Now, our team at UCSD is looking to make their impact and become a part of the history of this prestigious and innovative challenge. The non-profit club is run by students and is founded on the belief that sustainable energy will play a pivotal role in the future of energy production. We give students at UCSD an opportunity to gain valuable engineering and business experience, while also raising awareness for sustainable energy in our communities.

  • We model and analyze all aspects of our car and ensure its design is safe and efficient!
